Extremely helpful app

Pretty accurate and made buying my glasses online a stress free experience.

Quick and easy

I think this app is amazingly quick and easy to use! I love it and can now order my glasses online in peace

Thought this app would actually do something

Somehow I thought this app would actually do something. Like I would take he picture, it would measure the credit card and find the center of my eyes and give me a number. Its very manual and therefore not that impressive. I did multiple measurements, all were very different. I finally called my eye doctor and their measurement was nowhere near any of the ones I got from careful use of this app. Id like my dollar back, but thats unlikely.

Security?

Why do you have to use the back of a credit card, which has the 3-digit security code, and where you can make out the embossed numbers of the card, itself? Im deleting this.

Credit card scam?

Dont give them your credit card number, 3 digit code, and signature. There is no reason for an app to ask for a photo of all that.

Are you kidding me?

Seriously? Who in their right mind would take a picture of themselves with the security number on the back of their credit card showing along with a picture that can be used by who knows who or what. Someone could probably read the indentations of the account numbers from the back of the card and figure out the account number. I should have taken a picture of my middle finger and see what someone could do with that.

User beware

It may measure something, but what is for sure is that you can tell without even downloading it that this is opening the doors to identity theft: picture of you, credit card number, your signature showing, and your security code, too. If any of you really want to use this, please have the presence of mind to cut up an index card and to use that instead of using a credit card!

Great app! Was looking for this exact solution.

We needed to find out PD to order new glasses. Tried other methods, but this is the only one that worked. Great job!

Legit

You have to be an idiot if you actually think you need to use your cc with the info on the back. Use a shopping club card instead. Dont hate the app because you cant think for yourself. Great app. Going to save me a lot of money in the mean time

Cool app

This is helpful and just in time because I need to have a new glasses. I will recommend this to my friends.

Interesting app

It is an interesting app that is hampered with somewhat limited applicability. Additionally, optometrist and glasses sellers will usually measure for you and their device is much more precise.

☠ SPY-APP SECURITY ISSUES

☠ Buyer Beware: Everything about this app stinks of spybot security issues. Credit card .. eye scan .. bogus link to privacy policy ... it all smells. Apple can provide the tools to protect you but YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND KNOW WHEN TO SAY NO!

That was easy!

Wow, pretty cool and fun too! Now I have to

Really good

Gave 4 stars because its paid, otherwise 5 stars

Not accurate

I am a Master Ophthalmic Optician. I measure PDs every day. My personal PD is 69.0 mm. However after measuring multiple times on this app, it tells me my PD is 57.0. 12 mm of inaccuracy will create a tremendous amount of unwanted induced prism. This is not good! Find a better way to obtain your PD!

Good pd measurement

Yes the first bad thought is that it can be used to steal some facts of ones identity. The face, the signature (if signed) and the security code of the credit card. Before using this app be sure to cover the security code and signature with white tape. I received the same pupil distance four times in a row. You will have to be able to keep the card straight and at a good distance where your picture will also be straight. Try it several times securely as I instructed above. Then go with the most common result. As for the developers, I am sure if you store these images in a manner to involve identity theft. You will be tracked. And its all traced on the Internet. It saved me a call to question my pd to the eye glass center. Thanks for developing a practical and helpful app.

Easy to use

Dont use credit card. Use grocery store card! Works great!

Works as advertised

Used app to measure PD to place an order for prescription glasses online. I am wearing those glasses as I type this. The app Worked great. I tried several photos in different lighting around the house and got very consistent results within 1-2mm plenty accurate. Any card will work as long as it is the exact dimensions of a credit card. You could cover one with masking tape, use a store discount card, expired card, etc. The app worked for me and was worth the low cost.

It Worked

The app is very easy to use with imbedded instructions. I took four pictures and averaged the measurements which were very close. I wont know the true accuracy until I purchase new glasses. One glitch was instructions said to enlarge photo and zoom in to eyes for better accuracy. However iOS 9.3 on iPad would not allow me to zoom in further.

It works

Reasonably accurate. I got my ipd at the eye dr 1st. I then tried this app. The dr measured me at 59mm with their fancy gizmo. This app says 58mm. Close enough...
